It doesn’t really matter,
« on: December 14, 2009, 02:06:05 PM »
I’ve already clinched a playoff spot and first round bye, but my last game of the regular season hinges on Alex Smith tonight.
I need a little over 13 pointes, 13.32 to be exact, so I figure if Alex Smith can throw for 140 yards or so and a touchdown I should be golden.  Considering ‘Zona flat shut down Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre last week this is definitely not a given, but at least it will make the game fun to watch.

I would expect to see Arizona try to shut down the 49er running game and make Alex Smith try to beat them in the air. They have a solid run defense and they know how to pressure opposing QB's, but they give up some yardage in the air. If he can eke out a TD you should be good barring not too many INT's if you are penalized for those.

There is really only one valid reason to hate Michigan football, and that is the fact that we taught Notre Dame the game.

Yea, I was highly impressed with AZ’s D after last week.  Adrian Peterson is my main running back and he hasn’t been held for less than 10 points all season.  Well, until facing Arizona that is.
I was hoping for a junk time TD and some yards from Smith, if nothing else.  But, like I said, it at least gives me a reason to watch a game I wouldn’t care about otherwise.

I'll watch it because it's football and the end draweth nigh, but yeah...the average fan probably really isn't terribly interested in this matchup. Kind of ho-hum.
