I don’t find Toyota to be any more believable than Mr. Sikes here.
Considering they supposedly haven’t been able to reproduce the unwanted acceleration on any of the recalled vehicles doesn’t make me skeptical of Mr. Sikes accounting of what happened because they couldn’t reproduce it on his Prius.

I was kind of out of touch last week, but one of my friends told me that a couple of Prius's crashed with this issue. Anyone heard about that?

Haven’t heard of one crashing but the guy the Dr. and I are talking about, Sikes, was in California last week when his Prius supposedly ran away on him.
A CHP officer and his patrol car “had” to help him get it stopped.

Agreed, and that has a lot to do with why they made that buying that decision.

I heard that Sikes brakes were extremely worn down and it's equipped with the throttle disengage or whatever it is. As was said earlier they haven't been able to recreate the problem in any of the cars so why would this one be different.
 
It'll be interesting to find out what the problem was.
